Parents' weekend at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY, where our younger daughter, Lauren, is a sophomore, took place over the weekend of October 15. This year's color peak for upstate New York and northern Massachusetts roughly coincided with that schedule, according to the Foliage Network website. We decided to make the weekend a long one, also visiting our older daughter, Emily, a senior at Williams College, in Williamstown, MA, near the New York and Vermont border, and then continuing to chase autumn colors around western Massachusetts, returning to New Jersey on October 20.
